| We're having a girl... which really means that I will finally get to have a "daddy's girl" woo hoo!! | | |
| I have an announcement... if you would like to know what it is... you MUST comment me :) | | |
| So I was looking at the watchman site and I came across a profile of a group known as Channelers. This group believes in communication with the dead. They also push the New Age belief that God is everything, and everything is God. These beliefs greatly conflict with the Bible, and di not really become big until the 60s and 70s. The fact is; however, that the possiblity of people communicating with the dead is most likely (if actual communication is taking place) commununication with demons. It would be nice if we could simply dismiss these types of groups and their followers as goofy, and or fakers... but there is an even more fearful possibiity... the connection of their practices with satan and demons. You can read more here, if you would like. | | |
| Hello world!
Yes, I know it has been forever since I've updated... and I will not
ake such a foolish promise to say that I will be more current on my
updates... but I will try, at least.
Me: Currrently I am in Michigan. I got here yesterday
around 1130, and then my brother-in-law surpised everyone (minus mom
and bill) by springing to get Leah a ticket... so she gets to spend 4
days with me here in Mi!! Woo-hoo
Then... my buddy nick's aunt got him 2 tickets to see the wings play
columbus... so I got to go to that, see a good game, a shootout, and
even better, a win!! It truly was awesome... my first time to see
them play all season, and it was live.... thanks aunt karen, and thanks
nick!
My next 8 days (counting today) will be spent seeing people I haven't
seen in months, sleeping in, and reading.... ahh... no
responsibilities... call this vacation!
When I get back: I've got a lock-in for New Year's Eve...
then clening the duplex I'll be moving into. Moving into the
duplex... and learning to live in the absence of crazy college students
that possess a completely different persona post-curfew than most of
the civilized world will ever be able to understand... I will miss it.
That brings me to the full understanding that my updates will decrease
in consitency because I will be internet-less at my residence... I will
soon become a resident of the computer using society of the ABC
library... I guess one culd say that besides my weight gaining frenzy,
I am beceming more rounded than I was as a dormitory hermit.
Look out world (outside of xanga) here I come!!
That previous paragraph was fun to write, because it was an exaggerated
endeavor of explaining the changes I will encounter in the ever near
future of my eclipsing life. (Notice the ridiculous use of "e"
words... that was a treat to type!)
I hope you enjoyed this entry....
Merry Christmas, and God bless!!
P.S.
In the light of Christmas... I thought I would include lyrics to a song:
Light of the world you stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes, let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore you
Hope of a life spent with you
(reason for Christmas perhaps???)
King of all days, oh so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly you came to the earth you created
All for love's sake became poor
(Reason for the season maybe???)
(Because of all that....)
Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that you're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me
(The wonderfulness kind of makes Christmas a little more Christmassy...huh)
I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
MERRY CHRISTMAS INDEED

| Today was a good day!
I got to preach this morning.... Justification may be one of my favorite topics!
The youth stayed at church all afternoon, and we painted more of the youth room... fun fun... it looks pretty cool too! Saturday Donovan and I are gonna finish it up and hang out... I'm lookin forward to it!
Today was also a lot of fun hangin with the teens... they are really a funny group!
(But Emily and Danielle were teaming up against me pretty rough today... looks like revenge will have to be in the forecast).
Amanda made me laugh when she got mad at Donovan... teenage boyfriends and girlfriends can be comical to watch.
I wish Bethany wouldn't have been sick, and John and David need ot get their grades up so they can do more with us... I'm sure they'll pick it up.
Now it is back to the grind of homework...
Leave me some...
